I have been installing milestones since about 0.9.1.
They have worked well.
1. uninstall mozilla
2. copy plugins to temp dir
3. remove directory just in case \program files\mozilla.org
4. install milestone
5. copy plugins back
I have read that some people recommend removing the profile info also.
Boy with the number of posts this ng is getting better(as bad?) than
alt.sex.oral.

Thanks for agreeing with me. I couldnt discover it and I thought I was
computer literate.
Now that I now its not so bad and in fact ctrl-tab is kinda awkward.

I still use individual browser windows because I can use the kb to

I have tried:

3. ctrl-leftarrow(?)
4. move focus to tab strip and use arrow keys (windows tabbed dialogs)

I hate to say this but I am actually so satisfied with 0.9.5 that I am

it fixes. Everything I really need seems to work. Of course there is a

If you have java enabled and then load the page it continully thrashes
the disk until you have to reboot or kill mozilla.
I assume it is some sort of loop.
I have 0.9.5 and jre 1.3.1

I'll have to be dragged kicking and screaming to win-xp. But it may be a
losing battle. Currently I use win98se but the people around me have all

It is more stable.
I use it all the time now.
Here is my list of things that dont work.

Is there a way to drop down(open) combo boxes with the keyboard only?
In windows I use alt-(downarrow).

This is a followon to my previous msg about slashdot crashing.
It seems that if I reduce the size of a slashdot page by changung nested

When I load a slashdot article it uses up all of my resources and I have

I have 0.9.4 on win98se. I have slashdot set to nested and 0 score.
Anybody have similar problems? 0.9.3 worked fine.

So does anybody know?
I think this might be why I cant spoof the capitolone site.

When I go to www.capitolone.com and I spoof to be ie5.5 it still detects
me as mozilla and tells me to go away.
Is this because of
navigator.appVersion
I have noticed on my own little jscript page that this variable
returns "5.0 (Windows; en-US)" no matter what I spoof the userAgent to.

I know I should be good enough to figure out the code myself but

source on the above page it explicitly
calls for version 1.3.1 java. Thats why all the spy pages show the built

Is there a way to turn off the java plug-in temporarily so I can spoof
the user-agent string?
I tried setting the user-agent string to spoof so I could access a site
but it blew up on loading because apparently the java plug-in checks for
a compatible browser.
thanks

Its a form so you have to fill in some data which then takes you to a
