I have been installing milestones since about 0.9.1. They have worked well. 1. uninstall mozilla 2. copy plugins to temp dir 3. remove directory just in case \program files\mozilla.org 4. install milestone 5. copy plugins back I have read that some people recommend removing the profile info also.
