Councilman Niland,
This evening I attended the monthly Ventura Village neighborhood meeting,
and heard some disturbing news about the progress of the AIHCDC Many
Rivers project.
(For those from other neighborhoods, this is a development project for
the 14-1500 blocks of Franklin Avenue which w

Hi! More data on the referendum:
I just attended the first PTO meeting at my daughter's school, Ramsey IFAC.
They presented the results of their preliminary analysis of what the effect
would be on them if the referendum didn't pass.

Thanks to David for raising the question and for forwarding David Heistad's
response. Quite obviously, Heistad was saying that the use of those
statistics as proof of anything is not justified.

The former and latter points are correct. Unfortunately regular math
doesn't work with tax issues, especially in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Just a thought, but how much would it cost the city to add water, sewer,

a residential area to the Minikahda property? Maybe we are saving money
by keeping the land in grass and timber.

Hi, folks:
Leaving other variables alone, greater valuation for
the Minikahda property would result in lower property
taxes for all other Minneapolitans. That's just how

Go to the Hennepin County website at

property tax of $22,827.93 and a solid waste fee of $83.11.
This is not class warfare. This is just plain envy.
Isn't it interesting that politicians and the rich talk about responsibility
and accountability when demanding social "welfare reform," but when we talk
about corporate welfare reform or argue against more tax benefits for the
rich, all of a sudden it's class warfare. Don't be fooled by the ri
Ahhh, the old herring, class warfare, always thrown in the face of people
