One other consideration.
MQSERVER variable will only allow a maximum message size of 4MB, we use MQCHLLIB for this reason, so the maximum message size can be specifed on the client channel definition.

from the Start->Programs->Startup group if necessary.
Another technique is to disable the MQSeries service, and reboot the server, then try again.
Good luck,

Timm,
This sounds very interesting. Can you please elaborate on this. Are you suggesting that the MQSI / WMQI control centre will be replaced or supplemented by an Eclipse IDE, or am I totally misunderstanding this thread ?
Thanks in advance,
Matt Gurney

yway, this method worked.
Hmmm, I think I prefer your method, slightly simpler (by about 6 steps), a shame I didn't wait a few minutes longer
Thanks,

apply CSD - knowing that no MQSeries files should be in use because MQSeries has not run since the server has been rebooted
However my normal method is not working.
Does anyone have any ideas, or any information on what might be using amqxcs2.dll.
Thanks in advance,
Matt Gurney
similar for MQSI, that would be great too.
I tried looking in the listserver archive, but couldn't locate what I am after.
Thanks in advance,
Matt Gurney
In the NT/2000 task mgr you can right click on a process and select "Set affinity", this allows you to specify which cpu(s) a process should run on. I assume there would be a programatic method of achieving the same result. I have no idea how MQ/MQSI would react to such treatment.
