Hi Sid,
I know this doesn't answer your question directly, but have you thought of
using MQIPT (MS81 SupportPac) in your DMZ instead of a QM ?
MQIPT is a category 3 SupportPac and can be found here
http://www-306.ibm.com/software/integration/support/supportpacs/category.html#cat3
HTH :o)
Hi Usha,
Take a look at chapter 20 in the MQIPT book. One of the samples there
(Creating SSL test certificates) shows you how to create a self-signed
certificate. Send me an email offline if you need more help :o)

Hi Peter,
The vulture thread is started when a route starts and is used to terminate
any connections that exceed the IdleTimeout value. Sounds like you have it
set to 5 mins :o)

Hi Paul,
Sorry, MQIPT doesn't support proxy authentication. I think you're only the
second person to ask for this feature. All I can say is that it's on the
requirements list for the next release of MQIPT if and when there is
one. Sorry I can't be more exact.

.
Hope this helps,

Subject: MQ Client Channel Security
Products?
We are using MQ Clients V5 on various platforms (NT,Solaris,etc..) to
connect to our MQ manager on MVS V1.2. We
solutions using HTTP require an MQIPT at each end of the connection.
There should be sample configurations in the MQIPT book, except for (b),
which didn't make in the book in time. I can send you a sample of this if
you like ?
Hope this info helps. Let me know if you need more deta
contacted before it's use in production.
