i belive this is wrong (just copied from objectname), because it conflicts with the

Greg,
just to answer the init queue question.
if you trigger every, only one trigger message is generated. one
queuemanager of the qsg is selected to create this trigger message.
now - if you use a shared init queue, any trigger monitor can read
the trigger message and start the transaction.

no, it is not supported (check the application programmers guide).
if you want to segment messages, you have to do it on your own, or
maybe there is some third party software or freeware samples out there.

`Walter,
from my experience, there is no way to start mq without db2 when using qsg.
you could consider to start with a parm member that is created without
qsg values when you want to start without db2, but this only works
if the last qmgr shotdown was "normal".

1 - depends on mq version. as far as i remember a remove by qmid was
added by
mq 5.3, so if you are at 5.2 remove by qmgr name is the only option.
from my experience removing a non existing qmgr from a cluster can
really
be a pain, and i also remembered that it was not always possible
(again,
its all in the system administration guide (description, jcl, samples).
here is my favorite sample rule
