I could never use ADR's for production patches.
Why would you exclude it? That's the same as not patching your systems.

But what is everyone's thoughts on the new MS patching procedure and how are
you handling it in ConfigMgr.
Currently we have an ADR setup that scans for Critical and Security's released
in the last 14 days.
Also wondering how people are utilising

That's the resource ID, probably just pointing to the wrong column.

You can inject the latest CU though (using DISM or offline servicing - they're
really the same thing) into your image. In fact, this is highly recommended to
fix bugs in Windows setup itself that affect the upgrade experience.

Isn't this the point of maintenance windows? Just make one for software
updates that starts sometime not during your migration.

I don't know about "best way". but "a way" -- in Default Client Settings,
disable Software Updates there. the clients won't scan, and won't deploy
any patches.

With the Windows 10 in-place upgrade task sequence, you can't do a custom wim,
that I would normally do to capture all the latest patches. I'm curious to how
others are dealing with this. Are you putting in a command line at the end to
run wusa.exe and install the .msu file for the latest

Thanks for the replies.
I checked the GPO and Configure Automatic Updates was enabled. I have changed
this to disabled.
The only other Update GPO is Allow signed updates from an intranet Microsoft

Hello
I am working on a migration from 07 to 12.
We have a CM07 mif located on every client that identifies Office group
membership for each workstation. Several collections are based on this Office
group membership.
Now that we are migrating on CM12 side I tried to import the MOF. However
