I don't see any reason to give the name Artist to any of these any more
than to any other. Either they are all artists, or none are.
We have almost nothing active in the pipeline at the moment. So, an open
request; please take 5 minutes some time today, and propose just one of the
remaining '5 minute guidelines', so we can get them cleared out? :)

I don't see why everyone's getting all fussy about the name of the
field. The artist field in MusicBrainz has always had a different definition
depending on the context its in.
Perhaps naming the field artist is a bad idea, perhaps, but works are
bringing enough changes as it is. If they are to
