I just installed MLO on my new PC and noticed the GTD example.
I really like the Getting Things Done approach but don't want to go down a
rabbit hole investigating Productivity P0rn .
So I'd like to see how well it works before spending a lot of time learning
that interface.

I'm on Windows 7.
I want to export settings like shortcuts, etc.
I saw the article below from 5 years ago.

Also note that the Parent sub-dialog of the Rapid Text Entry dialog can be
set to use specific view also (just like the move dialog).

Control-A (select all text) doesn't seem to be working for me in the Rapid
Task Entry dialog. It works fine in the main MLO notes pane though. Is it
some vmware funkiness on my side, or is it missing/broken for everyone?
Its keep for the RTE to quickly overwrite previous text.

A related idea I had was to support enabling/disabling advanced filter
rules. Then each user can choose which ones they want top level:

I thought I already posted this idea, but I can't find it. I apologize if
its somehow a duplicate.
It would be great if we could enable/disable filter rules quickly like we
can for contexts. The advanced rules dialog does this, but its separate
dialog.
Instead, how about showing the advanced r
I thought I would share a very simple applescript for using the Rapid Task
Entry dialog for MLO running inside VMware Fusion. It simply opens the
dialog and then pastes the current clipboard text. Its simple, but figuring
out the right voodoo took a bit of work.

Currently when adding a task using the command line you use something like
the following:
mlo.exe MyDataFile.ml -task={213DCA87-6D2E-254D772616FA}
-AddSubtask="NewSubtask #1"
The problem with this is that the -task does two things - it indicates the
parent, but it also changes the selection to
I still see the same behavior in 4.1.1RC1. Create a view filters for a
specific context. Create a new task, type its text, hit enter - the
task disappears because it doesn't have that context.

Is there a way to drag/drop text into the MLO outline?
I can select text in WordPad (or in notes in MLO) and drag it to the MLO
outline. MLO even shows a blue line where it will be dropped, but when I
release/drop it nothing happens.
This would be a super handy feature for quickly move text to/
There are several threads already asking for additional fields to be made
top-level filters like contexts so they can be easily enabled/disabled. In
fact I am currently using flags instead of contexts because they are easier
to filter with. I had an idea though, instead of slowly making more
