As far as I can determine this is a bug, or at very least an omission. Having the ability to configure the hot keys and then having a hot key that can't be configured is clearly wrong. I don't think this has been a specific issue for me personally (as far as I'm aware), but I can see why it

Hi Steve, Using AHK you can toggle the spacebar on/off, which would allow you to quickly revert to using it for text entry. Try the following script (which uses the ScrollLock key to toggle) : - ScrollLock::Hotkey, Space, Toggle Space:: MsgBox Space key is disabled. Press ScrollLock to enable.
