Hi,
I've got a 300 MB database file with a useless MYI file and I cant seem to
reconstruct it. Anyone know how I can get the data back.
if I use myisamchk -o it destroys all the data in the file so I'm kinda
stumped.
Cheers
Andy
PS I need to enter SQL and Query cos this mail bouced at first.
Hi,
Well, it certainly seems to be pointing to MySQL.com alright.
Although the domain name registrant is still NuSphere and DNS still appears
to be handled by NuSphere's command the IPAddress it resolves to is
definitely that of MySQL.com.
Hmmm, I certainly hope this is justice and not just car
ey've decided to strangle us in
legal paperwork," said Lorne Cooper, president of NuSphere, distributor of
the MySQL open source database system.
So, what do you think we should do about all this.
Regards
Andy Woolley.

The impression I get from the .org site, is that they are promoting a
product
in advance.

Werner,
Your syntax is correct and valid for MySQL.
The problem could lie with your ODBC driver. What version are you on?
Try downloading a utility for administering MySQL. UrbSQL is good from
www.urbanresearch.com and see if that can drop the column.
Good luck.

idance is not to open the damn thing at all just delete it, but
