ad software that has done this, so I don't think the
problem is so much in the software, but something about my MySQL config or
setup.
I realize this may be a MySQL issue as much as it is a PhpAdsNew issue, but
I was really hoping someone here would be able to help me out with some
suggestio
This problem is almost exactly like the "load level on linux" one seen
earlier, and like about 5 others I've seen on this list including my own.
Why is we can not get a straight answer from anyone on this???

and I
think I have it correct!
[mysqld]
log-slow-queries=/root/slow-queries.log
and
/etc/usr/bin/safe_mysqld --log-slow-queries=/root/slow-queries.log
Either way, the server will not start. I take the line out and it works
again. What am I doing wrong?

once thought that the kernel was the problem, but
I upgraded that and the problem returned. I upgraded MySQL and still the problem
returned. I upgraded the hard drive bandwidth (MB/sec) thinking that might improve
it, but nothing I have tried keeps the problem away for more than a day.
If you need any more information from me (including database table formats, queries,
etc) please let me know! I will be more than happy to give them to you!!
Thanks to anyone who helps me out!!!

Thank you for the tip, but this is not our problem. We are running SCSI
disks with over 40 MB/sec throughput. Any other ideas?

normal. I have tried all kinds of things to figure out what is going on here. I
raised the max_connections from 100 to 300, and edited the following httpd.conf
settings:
MinSpareServers 15
MaxSpareServers 30
StartServers 15
MaxClients 150
MaxRequestsPerChild 1000

Sorry, but this system has quad 15K RPM SCSI hard drives running RAID 0+1.
I don't think hdparm applies to that.

Could someone explain to me the difference between the Primary/Index/Unique attributes
of MySQL? I am coming from using MS SQL where there is only the Primary key option.
Sorry if this is too beginner of a question for this list.
