stupid me, it WAS a permission problem. The permission for a directory in the path
wasn't right.
sql, mysql or what else the spam filter needs.

we do have 1 GB of RAM
the main problem seems to be a table with about 8.597.146 records.
any suggestions what can be done ???

This works but the host that is running that will be blocked after 10 trys.
I am also looking for a different way of doing this without actually installing the
mysql client.
