Is there a plan to allow for disabling of the LiveTV
recordings? I can, obviously, see the benefits of this for some users, but for
me its worthless. It just clutters up my recording storage and tends to
confuse who see the LiveTV recording group collections.
Ive got to say that I love

Folks,
Im still having problems playing back about half of
my HD content. With CVS as of last night I am closer but no where near the
level we should probably be at. I realize were making significant
progress and I want to let you all know how much it is appreciated.
So, with CVS as
Hey guys,
I updated from CVS from a
week and a half ago to CVS from yesterday and I have begun to notice some odd
things. Some things have gotten much more stable and it's behaving incredibly
well. However, when viewing live TV from a DCT-6200 via firewire, I cannot
change channels
I gotta say, this is the greatest patch I've seen in a while. Mostly I say
that because it solves my biggest issue at the moment: playing my HDTV
content.
It seems to be super stable for playback of HDTV and regular TV content, the
only bug I've had is it causes a segfault when myth tries to
with latest CVS

Anyone know when this is going to go into CVS?

re-submitting.
My experience has been this, and it covers nearly everything you guys talk
about:
1) before the firewire patch Jim made, I only got firewire capture every 3rd
to 5th time
2) After the patch, it works great, except after reboots of the Myth
machine. To solve that I have to use the test-mpeg tool
Did this patch ever make it into CVS? I'm not sure I've ever seen a commit
for it and I did a search through my archives and don't see it either.

FireWire support made
Yes it can. If you get the mythtv source from CVS and look under the
contrib directory you will see a 6200ch.c and a 6200ch-REAME.
This, once compiled, will control the 6200.

No, actually, you're not missing anything as far as I know, nor are you
really lazy. Some things aren't laziness, they're just intuitive UI design.
This is actually one of my pet-peeves as well about the Myth program guide.
I've actually looked into altering it myself, but I'm not clear enough on
