Most likely the blue stuff is coming from X. I fixed this on my setup by running this: xvattr -a XV_COLORKEY -v 66048 during the X startup. For some people a value of 0 works better. - George This is not a fix for the issue. It just changes the background mat color of X from blue to black.

I had this problem with a FC3 installation. My solution was to add the following lines to my rc.local: /sbin/depmod -a /sbin/modprobe ivtv /sbin/modprobe lirc_i2c /sbin/service licr_i2c start /sbin/service mythbackend start if you do this, you'll also have to turn off the backend autostart script
