Yesterday my mythtv stopped working on the pcHDTV side. When I startup
the backend the xterm window scrolls:
[mpegvideo_xvme @ 0x667a893] ...damage etc, etc.
It says it tunes to the channel but then drops out. I can't do
anything after that.

I'm not sure about all options, but I know I had to export the
playlist and music directories on my backend and nfsmount them
on my frontend.
I don't think the music is available via the mythprotocol, but

I think that i've further narrowed down the problem. After bringing a
different box downstairs and trying on the same display, I've learned a
few things. -- If myth/myplayer outputs a 1080i signal at particular
resolutions (such as 1680x1050) it will disort the output as described
below.

Just to follow up on this if anyone else gets stuck with this. I'm pretty
sure now that my problem was actually a driver issue with either my nVidia
card or ivtv. I finally realized that I never recompiled ivtv after
installing the latest kernel. As soon as I did that, the error below

Thanks for the reply. I do actually have the jfsutils already installed,
but I don't think it's enough. When I listed the files included in the
package, there are tools for formatting and checking volumes but nothing for
mounting. It looks like jfs support has to be compiled into the kernel,
