This is from using a stage3 install mind you...Oh - and check that the kernel modules for the DVB card are being loaded
at boot time (i.e. that they're in /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6)BEFORE mythbackend starts up - that can cause problems too.

having them work are >99% for a thinly used (i.e. writes) database.
Do be ware, however, there are times when you could end up with a corrupt

a new version was released 3 days later. Perhaps I'm picky, but I

discovering MythTV, I figured I build a Myth Box, build and use the
MythDVD plugin, and life would be good.
A week later, after fighting constantly with the the prerequesites for

I've about 15.000 - 20.000 titles in my music database, i guess thats the
reason, which results in a 10-20 second startup time whenever I
want to start MythMusic. I find this extremely annoying, my xbox which
run Xbmc doesn't do like this; 0.01 second startup time there.
