I've now got my myth install pretty much working (wo-ho!) however I'm
a bit confused - how do you know what key presses do what ? I've got
the remote all working but I can't see what key press / lirc config
action lets me view the tv listing ? and If I am viewing it how do I

Just getting into this HD stuff and having some issues with HD
playback. Usually, when I first start watching an HD recording the
video and audio stutters quite badly. I can fix it by pressing
'P' (pause), waiting for a second or two, and hitting ' P' again.
Then it plays back smoothly.

Hi,
Monitoring of DVD/CD stopped wroking after I upgraded my FC3 box to FC4.
I saw that the path was changed in FC4 from /mnt/cdrom to /media/cdrom but in
mythTV setup I see it monitors /dev/cdrom, which is still correct.
I really wonder how monitoring works because I can't find anything wrong

yes, they can connect to the mysql database. the laptop has
192.168.1.6 the knoppmyth frontend is not on right now. Both were
able to get the program guide from teh mysql database so i would
assume hte network is not at fault.

turned off all the transcoding options. This seemed to take effect for
