Broblem I had with Nova-T was the cx88_blackbird module loaded instead of

My TV is widescreen but I think the video out is 4:3. This all

As a result MySQL got trashed but at least the system booted.
Reinstall of MySQL finally fixed it.

It is written for EPIA but it is quite easy to adapt for other hardware.
No problems upgrading, you can run apt, yum, etc after initial install.
Also no need to install a hard disk first.

With the DVD I am using to test it will play the 30ish seconds of
intro, copyright info, etc and then it stops. I am using the default
mplayer command.

(2) you need the correct device nodes, ie various directories under
/dev/dvb/adapter0 not a single device /dev/dvb.
