akers and there are no "snaps" "crackles" or "pops" in the audio, just a mild hiss. However, once I switch to the TV in MythTV, it goes to one speaker and the rice crispy effect is back. Anyone with any ideas let me know. I'll try anything at this point. -T

I had a similar problem using a Diamond Monster Sound mx300 and finally just gave up. I yanked the card and put in a SB Live! 24, but now it's not working at all (in record). Sorry I don't have any advice to give you, just know that there are others who have experienced this problem as well.
