I have used cotton ball, the cotton less pads and even got some round make up
applicators and they all work the same but found that the round applicators are
easier for storage I get them at the dollar store and can fold them to wipe
with.

I use the same procedure as Michelle and it works just fine with most of the
soak offs may take a little longer from product to product...Shellac is off in
under 5 minutes by the time I get to the 10th finger the 1st is ready to come
off I use an orange wood stick to remove the rest no damage
