I would like to get a few good pictures of Nixies in military equipment [not
expecting it to be mobile stuff].Preferably not generally available test
equipment but could be support equipment in the Defence industry.
Can anyone point to their favourites please?

Are you saying the helium from leaking balloon can damage these tubes? My kids
have a couple in the living room now.

I am in search of a spare set of tubes, is it recommended to buy tubes from

Both effects happen: the neon and argon leak out because even though they're at
Hi,
Finally finished messing with my GRA arduino shield clock. The shield
is completely pre-assembled. However I re-wrote the software, added a WiFi
interface (to set the time and control the clock) and built the case (I
used pololu.com to get the acrylic cut). This was all new to me, so it
In tubes, filled with Neon and other gases, with shiny copper pieces you
can see that these copper pieces become darker and darker (black) the more
air that has entered the tube, the tube can work just as designed for a
long time while this process is ongoing but it will sooner or later give
I would expect that a leaky tube would be suffering from contamination.
This wiki article is a good description of how these tubes
