Hi All,
I am having a
question on the contents of 'perl' directory in the NET-SNMP
distribution. I went through the faq and learnt that it is used by mib2c
and the MIB browser.
It is not part of
the NET-SNMP libraries. Meaning SNMP Agent and the other .so s o
Hello,
I am linking a script to a snmp OID. However, the script takes
approximately 5 seconds to run (I am running an "iostat" command).
Anyway, when I poll from another machine, I get a "Timeout: No Response
from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx". If I change the script to run for 1 second, it

I have a situation where I have to do high frequency
proxy polling(all the time) for hundreds of logical
entities on a couple of hundred devices. And now i am

Good day,
I've just installed net-snmp-5.2, and am doing some testing on it before we
roll it out. This is on Fedora Core 2, 2.6.9 smp kernel. I grabbed the 5.2
tarball, put it into the FC2 rpm and took out the Fedora rpm patches.
It mostly works, but, now the v2 cold start and cold stop traps

Hello:
I recently installed Fedora Core 3 Linux. I started the SNMP and SNMP trap service.
Am I correct that this is actually the "NET-SNMP" agent ?? (formerly UCDavis)

I am encountering a problem using the bulkwalk() function in SNMP.pm
where I get incomplete results when querying for specific OIDs. When I
use the binary snmpbulkwalk I see the full table of instances and
values.
When performing a bulkwalk(), some of the Varbind arrays returned are
incomplete.
Hello,
A quick question on deleting mibs. I'm using mib2c to generate the c code.
All very dandy except I'm not on exactly how
to remove rows from the table. I thought I could use
CONTAINER_REMOVE(sig.container,row_ctx);
This does indeed remove the row from the mib table however I'm seeing an

Howdy!
I have a question about when and when not to free a netsnmp_pdu. I have
created a few MIB files for a project I am working on. I have also
written the C code to handle the OIDs in those MIBs. I have that code
running in an SNMP sub agent. All appears to be working well. But

Hi
I'm
using the snmpwalk.c to get the route table from my router, during the session
the router cpu usage reaches above 80% so I want to use getbulk instead of getnext.
What I should change in my client (snmpwalk.c) to do it – or where I can
find a client code using getbulk.

Hello,
I'm using net-snmp 5-1-2 and zebra as SMUX peer and I noticed some
problems when the number of registrations (calling REGISTER_MIB) is
large, let's say greater than 80 times.
When I starts the SMUX peer, the snmpd crushes with "Segmentation
fault". I tried starting snmpd with the option -Dsm

Hi,
I have got the following problems on AIX 5.2 with
net-snmp version 5.2 and net-snmp version 5.1.2.
The snmp agent (snmpd) is built with the following
configuration:
./configure --disable-shared --with-mib-
modules=disman/event-mib.
It built the snmpd and all other applications without
