I'm at work today, and realised that I needed a file
which is on my machine at home -doh! Today it's ok
because I've asked my wife to email me the file. But
she's always reluctant to do this, as she's got her
hands full with our twin boys. :-)
How easy would it be to turn on my home computer,

I didn't make it clear that my wife could just log on
the net - give me the IP and I'm away - so, in fact, I
wouldn't want those things to be automatic.

Ok, this is my first installation from a tar.gz file,
so it's all a bit complicated.
I decided to take on a nice easy simple installation
that would really help me - imwheel - which enables
the wheel on your mouse.
So, I managed to gzip and then tar, which created a
directory. I cd'ed into
I installed a lnx4win Mandrake 8.0 on a pc, which
would load a text bootloader fine.
However, when I decided to uninstall, I deleted the
lnx4win folder (in windows) and rebooted.
Grub still starts and then, being a complete newbie, I
don't know how to get past it.
Is there any way of getting
