t a message that it can't find
the CD-ROM. Asks me which driver to try. (I have NO idea). If I
randomly choose a driver to try (what the heck, aye), I get asked for kernel
info. Well, now I'm just lost.
I'm sure at least one of you newbies must have had

Anway, it rebooted during the process of installing the actual program
files. No warning at all - she just up and quit - and rebooted. When this
happened it did come back to the Press enter to install screen,

No, I wasn't sucessful. Simply cannot boot from the Cd.
Incidentally, I've tried at least a dozen times to install XP - but the same
thing happens, that is to say the computer reboots itself for no apparent
reason - and does not finish the installation (I assume because it doesn't
