I´m in the middle of a exam-period so I haven´t been enable to read all my mails, I

Just when I boot the machine and pass the HD detection, the machine starts reading the
floppy, but I do not get the Mandrake screen or a prompt. I just lose the monitor, the

I have a mandrake 8.0 with the
2.4.3-20mdk kernel. Today while I was
just browsing the web with mozilla my
system got very slow. I did a top
to see the memory and the swap was
working hard while I had almost 20 Mb
free of 256 MB. How could that be? I had
only 4 apps running, xmms, aumix,
