Had the same problem here and fixed it by the following:
1. Change PAP to Script..
2. Make a Script with only the following:
Expect ogin: # notice no L in login #
Sendyour_login_name

When I start KDE as root and select the K at the bottom of the screen there is a
selection that comes up as " Non-KDE apps " that does not appear when a user starts
KDE. My question is this: How can I make that selection appear with a non-root
user?
