Oddly enough, I type in XF86Setup and it says that there is no such thing.
I installed Linux-Mandrake 6.0 but it's not there. How do I install it
separately?
Thanks.

Maybe a bit more info on the mouse would help. I have a Logitech 4-button
Mouseman+ with the scroll wheel. I've been picking Mouseman+ PS/2 during
installation. Should I be picking something else? It seems to be working
fine, it's just that in X it's a big white box. Weird.

I seem to remember that there was another configuration utility other
than Xconfigurator and XF86config. Is there one? I'm not sure.
Ugh, I'm getting frustrated!

Now I know already that I won't be able to get the modem to work. But I
remember that I had found, a few weeks ago, a step-by-step install piece
for putting Linux on a Toshiba Satellite 2540CDS laptop. Anyone know
where I might find it again?
Thanks.

I figured that it would be at least close to the latest as it's a fairly new distro.
I'll
check it out and see what I can find. Although, I'm not sure how I would go about
getting it
on my machine when I can't get it running right. Oh well. Living and learning.

Oh well, have to go back to trying to get Linux running properly on my desktop.

I have seen this, I was just wondering if anyone had made a clean install on my
specific machine. I'll probably dive in and give it a go anyway, but I was
curious if anyone had blazed the trail. Linux.org doesn't list the Satellite
2540CDS specifically.

Hi
Specifically, I'm thinking of installing Linux-Mandrake 5.3 on a Toshiba
2540CDS with 96 of RAM. I'm curious if anyone has tried this and ifthere
is anything special that I need to know about this.
Thanks.
