i checked mandrakeuser.org and linux mandrake site, and i found stuff
that talks about hdparm and how to optimize the HD with it, but that it

it wasnt confusing at all, answers are that my entire HD is dedicated to
windows, partitioning shouldnt be a problem i think. one of my other
questions on this list was about that.

second, everywhere i read there is talk about installing mandrake from CD like
everybody either buys it or has a burner
my problem is that mandrakes installation documentation (which is very good,
except for thsi problem) keeps saying

i read that mandrake can use almost any mouse, but i have a microsoft
intellimouse,can linux also use that mouse?
i dont know if they could make it only used on windows, since they also have the
winmodem, which unfortunately i also have, and i hear cant be used on anything
but windows.
