times in Red Hat 7.3, using KDE's utility from the Control Center. The
process has always been smooth and easy, and not only did KDE apps work
fine with those fonts, but also Mozilla and other generic X apps would

that my Netscape 6.2 fonts still suck. is there any other way of beautifying
my "netscape" ? My Kconquerer now looks much better though pls help.

The import fonts utility does hang sometimes - it usually means there
are some weird fonts in Windows. I've never known it affect any
programs, though. The only thing I can think of is that you have
imported a font with the same name but different properties over one of
your X-fonts, though

In 8.0you could use DrakFont. I assume it still is there.

Thanks to the Guys who responded regarding the fonts and firewall. It was
simply a case of confusing Mandrake Control Centre with the KDE Control Panel
setup.
Once I sat and thought about things, and read what was in front of me, it all
worked out fine.
Name of the game with linux I guess.
