I have a new Mandrake CD 10.1 Linux and I have XP already on my system. I
installed a FAT32 Hard Drive on the Second IDE interface as a Slave since the
CDROM is primary. Can I install Linux on that drive and expect it to BOOT up
since Windows XP seems to provide a BOOT from any device?

Thanks. By the way, here's a nifty little (but growing) source of information
about Mandrake:

i am reading the installation documentation at mandrake
homepage to prepare myself, and a part in Installation with
Drakx it says:
Now you need to specify in DrakX where the various
partitions on the hard disk(s) will be mounted. In
Recommended mode, normally you won't have anything to do.

CD Boots up ok,
Hit enter
Initializing cdrom ...
in second stage install...
fails with:

Just purchased Macmillan Linux which of course uses Mandrake Linux. It came
with partition magic and boot magic. Just wondering how hard it is going to be
to set up a dual boot? Do people usually run into any problems creating a new
partition on the fly?
Thanks,
