KDE2 does allow more customization, but I found it a bit disconcerting that a nice user-level feature like the Theme Manager was removed. Was nice to play around and see what happened with different themes. Also, seems many folks thought this was a Mandrake lack in 7.2, as opposed to a change

hey Marcia -- i am not completely up on the histroy of this thread, as i don't use KDE much i was not paying attention =) but i seem to remember someone said the KDE 1.x themes do not work at all with KDE 2 unless you "convert" them over, and there was something in KDE 2 that would do this...
