"Generic Printer". Is this what you recommend?
I have an HP870Cxi defined to CUPS and "Generic Printer" using xpp which
works ok. The test page prints very slowly (almost 2 minutes) on a printer
rated at 4 color pages

I just got a new Espon 777 printer. I cannot get it to print in Staroffice.
I've run spadmin, but it does not have printer for the 777. I tried the 700

I've just installed LM8.0 and when I go to the printer setup, and choose
network printer, and go to the next screen that wants the printer name, etc,
it won't let me type anything in the blank spaces so I can tell it WHERE the
printer is.
Has anyone run into this problem?
Thanks,
Tom

Hi folks,
I'm having problems getting a remote printer to work from my Linux Box. I can ping
the Win98SE box both by IP Address and hostname. However, when I set those items
up in printtool it does not even appear to access the hub to get to the Win98SE
box. Here are some specifics:
The Win98

Hi,
I can't set up my printer, an HP DeskJet 870Cxi. It was working ok
after the initial installation of Mandrake 5.3 under kernel 2.0.36.
I've since compiled 2.2.6, and I can't get my printer to work.
printtool detects no printer. I've tried compiling parallel port and
printer support into t
