I've been trying to install mandrake10 for about a week now.
I keep getting a boot failure when I try to boot from cd1. I've
re-downloaded the iso image from 4 different locations and i still get
the same error. I've tried boot the machine off of my fedora core 1 cd1,
and don't have any problems,

Followed instructions after booting up with cd 2. Everything went fine.

I followed the suggestion that a number of you gave and booted from cd2
and followed the instuctions. the upgrade from 9.2 to 10 went fine.

Boot on the second cd and answer the questions that come up and at some point
put the cd1 back in and it should install fine. Some cd drives cause this
problem.
