Yes there are seperate packages for the telnet client and telnet server. Telnet server? I want to allow a friend to log into this computer. I'd rather use ssh, but that doesn't seem to work for me. I can't even install it (since I'm missing /usr/include/sys/mkdev.h). I guess I have to go

Hi Folks, Another odd little question. I can no longer Telnet into my Linux box, and don't know why. It establishes the connection, but doesn't give any login prompt (even if you whack RETURN a few times), and then disconnects about 5 seconds later. What's going on? Sean
