I like Gnome w/ Enlighenment the best. I've tried them all at least once, and
Gnome seems to be the best for me.

This is like asking what the best car is.
If you want a simple, l
I agree. There is so much information to take in. However, I think that
we should still encourage newbie Linux users (such as myself) to try
them all.

I use KDE on my PC because I like the look and feel of it, but I use
enlightenment on my laptop because it uses less memory and you can access both
Gnome & KDE apps from it

I don't like KDE or gnome. I find them too "resource consuming". They can
be usefull for people not wanting to learn how to really use linux. Linux
newbies generally like it, but once they discover how much it wastes

packaged. KDE is in only mabye 10 packages. GNOME is something like 80 and that
makes it hard to keep up to date. Currently I think GNOME only beats KDE in the
themeing arena. But from what I've seen of K
Careful with this topic - it can sometimes start wars. :)
KDE is too much like Windows for me. Gnome is unnecessarily bloated. I use
straight Enlightenment, mainly because it looks nice and is extremely
configurable (almost too configurable). Very fast and very slick.

Who uses which for what? It seems each of the "session types" ie. WindowMaker,
After Step, Enlightenment,Gnome, KDE,etc has its proponents. I'd like to
know what you guys think is the best .
