I keep trying to download the WineX CVS, but it stops at the same point
every time, a file called winclipsrv or something.
Anyone able to up a tarball or know where I can grab one?

got my handy dandy copy of WineX and went to install it, using both
methods (1--./configure make depends make make install
2--./tools/wineinstall) both give the following errors:

I'm running:
AMD Thunderbird Athlon 900mhz
Geforce 2 Titanium 64 meg video card
Edit the file q3config.cfg with a text editor. It can be found in the
baseq3 directory where you installed q3. Find the line that says:
seta cg_drawFPS 0
and change that to:
seta cg_drawFPS 1
Now q3 will always display the FPS when you start a new game.
