Ive a PIII 550, 64 mb ram, Modem US robotics ext. and Mandrake 7.2 The problem is that I cant connect to inet because when I use KPPP, its display a message error that say: "demon PPPD is no installed" What is the problem???

The problem is that you don't have pppd installed. Either re-install it using kpackage (from a console - logged in as root), or re-install your Linux, or perform an update. Use the workstation/custom install, and select "individual Package Selection. Go thru each section, and pick everything

I had the same problem. In my case when I installed mandrake, i chose to skip configuring internet connection. Later when I used draknet to setup my internet connection, it installed the pppd from disk1 of the distro (if you bot the distro like me). After that I was able to connect, well this
