Do you have a backup boot disk (it asked you to create one during installation)? If you do, just boot off of that, and after you get into Linux, change LILO back so that it points to your old kernel, instead of your new one. Hi, I recompiled the kernel on a Mandrake 6.5 system and

I found a tidbit of information that may pertain to your situation. Here is the URL for the info: http://www.patoche.org/LTT/kernel/0153.html Basically, the info says that these modules aren't needed. You can safely comment these out in /etc/conf.modules. They are just some compression
