Is this happening to anyone else? When I installed the new koffice packages in
Mandrake Linux 10, it does not work.
If I go back to the koffice packages that came with Mandrake 10, it works.
What I mean by not working is that the application, e.g. /usr/bin/kword does not come

I'm using catalan language (-ca) under kde but koffice appears in english
because no koffice-i18n-ca package exists. It doesn't make me worry but i'd
prefer koffice to use spanish language instead of english (and
koffice-i18n-es is installed).

when I ask to open a Msword file, it says the msword filters are not

Hello everyone,
Just wondering if anyone here is using KOffice 1.1 in a business
environment. Specifically, how well does it get along with MS Word and
Excel? I would *really* like to migrate away from StarOffice 5.2, and it
looks to me like KOffice is more mature than OpenOffice at this time.

A little problem - I just installed KOffice 2.01 over the top of the
version that came with Mandrake 7.2. This appeared to go OK but now it
won't start. When I try to start it, I get the revolving disk icon on
the KDE taskbar but it then disappears and ... er that's it.

I have a koffice rpm on my contribs cd that came with mdk 7.0. It is only 3MBin size.
Is this likely to be a part of it or just a very basic WP
programming? I am trying to install it but it says I need some libraries and don't
know which I need to install or where to get them.
