You can also try http://www.rarlab.com/rar/rarlinux-3.3.0.tar.gz . The
guys at rarlabs have a linux command line version that works well with
.rar files. The website indicates it's a trial version, but you could
say that I'm still trying it out. If that doesn't help, WinRAR works

I'm running ARK on KDE, and it seems to handle .rar very well.
I havent actually tried to create a rar archive with it yet, but I know it

get started.

Looked like mc would do it but when I try to open the file an error

Rar is not open source, so not in the distrib. Here's a link to an .rpm
