Paul, You can also try http://www.rarlab.com/rar/rarlinux-3.3.0.tar.gz . The guys at rarlabs have a linux command line version that works well with .rar files. The website indicates it's a trial version, but you could say that I'm still trying it out. If that doesn't help, WinRAR works well
