I can run xcdroast as root, but not as a user,
I selected all (users) in the setup TABS sections
I also had to change my lilo.conf to get my 2nd (reader) cdrom recognized by
xcdroast.

Is that the latest version?
I'm running 0.98alpha10, and it's OK.

A few tips, please note that I may use the wrong terms as I use it in
Swedish.
Anyway, after starting xcdroast as root go to
yourself all the permissions and you won't have to go back to root to change
things.
