OK I tried to e2fsck /dev/hda5 but it wants a switch or something not sure
which switch to use. But I got a tmsrbt disk and ran fsck.ext2 -t on
dev/hda5,6,7 and they all check out ok except 7 can't find superblock

Your best bet would be to boot from a "rescue" disk (you'll

I have had this occur. What I did was this -
1) run fsck - this program checks the filesystem. Run without any
paramenters it checks the filesystem and reports to you when it has found a
problem. It also suggests how this problem can be fixed, giving you a
