with that much ran, I'd stick with 128mb swap.. only 8.1 and before 2.4 kernels needed twice the ram.. 8.2 with hardly every use swap if you have 512mb ram... so don't waste hard drive space on a swap you'll never completly use. (unless you run a huge heap of ram intensive applications at the
