I have a 10/100MB hub at home. All my computers (NT 4.0 server and
workstation, Win 95) work fine with the hub. I plugged the Linux box into
the hub and it won't work. I switched back to my 10 MB, just to slow for a
power user like me, and it works fine. What gives?
John, you are correct. You will need another network card in the PC to allow
the other networked computer to access the net. I have the same setup with
my cable modem, but I'm still using Winblows NT 4.0. Haven't had time to
configure my Linux box to be my gateway to the internet.

Check the permissions on the files. Make sure you have execute permission on
the script. If you don't know how to change permisson, do a "man chmod"

I have a Dell Dimension XPS Pro200 with a builtin sound card. I'm unable to get
it working. The sound card is a sound blaster 16.

Hmm, I have this and it does work..
I compiled a kernel on the first try...
Used Xconfig from the KDE desktop.
Was able to compile from there and make zlilo and am running that kernal
now..
Now if I could get my network to network I would be happy...
