How can I tell? Is it in the VIN code? A 4-in one wouldn't seem to make much
sense on this bike considering the placement of the spark plugs and the fact
that there is no room for a 4-in-one that I can seehmmI will need to
pull up some old stock photos now. You got me curious. HotrodMamm
The original color under the nasty black paint was a really pretty orange with
gold flake...I'd like to take it back to that! What color is yours? Do you have
pictures? HotrodMamma.

Sorry Graham, I thought I responded yesterday. I brought the bike to
my brother's yesterday and he has a spare for his Magna, which fits
the Nighthawk. So I won't need it, but thanks. Is this address the one
I should Paypal the $$ to? (the ptd.net one)

The wheel spin in gear with the clutch pulled is the clutch dragging. Needs a
proper adjustment. What weight oil is in it ?

That's a 750F1 and had a 4>1 exhaust originally. Probably VERY yellow too.
Crank up the "way-back" machine, it has points ignition. I'll help with
whatever, those are old friends.

Nice, I wondered what my 1970 CB750 looked like when it was born...

Welcome to the group Matt. I can't answer your question but someone here
will. I'd like to hear the answer too though. I rode a NH 250 when I took my
riding class and finding neutral on that thing was a nightmare. The clutch
seemed to work fine otherwise but you did have to kill the motor to get it
I have a '92 CB250, I noticed the other day that it was extremely hard
to get into neutral, so i took a look at the clutch cable to see if it
was adjusted wrong. In fact the only time I am able to get into
neutral is when the motor is off. I checked to see if the clutch was
working properly by rai
Try this: instead of straddling the bike, put one leg on the seat and then kick
with the other leg. It's a bit awkward at first but it works like a charm and
you won't get a bruise. HotrodMamma.

speaking of BSA my dad just got a 441 victor special, very nice and clean
also, payed right around 3500 for it, not running, took it home cleaned the
carbs, 10 kicks later and it was runnin, but damn he kicked it as did i and
that damn oil cap sticks out there and can leave one hell of a bruise on
A BSA. Cool. That was my first MC in about 1965. In those days, I think
the British bikes were made of whatever pot metal they could find. I
remember, I had to replace my foot shift lever every month of so because it
would strip on the shaft splines.
Later, when I switched over to Japanese
Just kidding you Dennis! I will get back to NZ for a visit as soon
as can afford. Actually I have a 1956 BSA Gold Flash back in NZ ...

What do you mean - you're the only one with a Nighthawk owner on this
list with a foot in the southern hemisphere? Where am I - outer
space? Graham lol

Paddy,
Nice to see someone else from the southern half. I spend half my time in
Seattle in the US and half in Christchurch in New Zealand. Thus far, I've
been the only Nighthawk owner on this list with a foot in the southern
hemisphere.
I can't help you with the parts issues - wish I could. I
I have 2 acres, a 5,000 S.F. shop, and 3 sheds. One shed is devoted to storing
some old bikes and parts. Regular Toys R Us. Your taste in cars is impeccable,
that's why you can't find what you want. I had '64 Buick Wildcat once but it
just needed too much work for me so I sold that one. I alway

Left hand side covers are relatively inexpensive on ebay. Right hand
side covers are few and far between. Right now there's one at $150 on
ebay (with a day and change.)

I've seen a few of those go by on eBay over the years. Of course now that I
own one I'll never see another one.

Hi everyone, I am new to the group and hoping you can help me finding
some parts for my 1997 Honda
Nighthawk.
Having an American model bike and living in Australia,as you can
appreciate information on buying parts is very
limited,so I thought I would try this medium for help.
I purchased the bike
I owned an 84' blue 700S also for a couple of years, one of the best bikes
ever! For 2 years I tried to find a backrest/sissy bar with no luck so I sold
it and bought my current 93 750. Still a great bike.
