Have you checked the wires going all the way back to the rear bulbs?
Anywhere along the circuit it could be shorting out. I think now you know
why the PO took off the blinkers. You don't have to fix them if they don't
exist.

My flasher relay definitely isn't. I've had my turn signal switch apart
several times for surgeries, definitely just a switch.

450. I read somewhere? that they make a kind of netting ( or something
like that ) to fasten down things like the gym bag. When I put it behind
me on the seat. I don't know where I saw it and I can't find it again.
If you have a Cycle Gear nearby they sell cargo netting. Any of the major
retailers should carry it online. Bungee cord net with rubber or plastic
coated hooks, usually $7-12 for a decent sized net.

It should be a direct hot wire feed and a common ground to each light. Two hots
for the front since they have running lights. Since the stalks and bulbs don't
