Reviving this thread, as I (oops) forgot to answer this question and
because I wish to appeal to the wisdom of the group.
CBR600 (and 600RR) bikes have 40mm throat diameter throttle bodies. Stock
NH650 had, at biggest, 32. Will adding 8mm of throttle throat produce a
noticeably "twitchy" throttle
I am trying to remove the bolt in the oil filter canister but it will
not move. I am afraid of twisting it off. Anyone have any suggestions
on how to get this out without damage?

Parkway is awesome for views, especially NC side. Just watch your speed -
they will nail you with a crazy fine.
To me, more interesting than the parkway are most of the roads that lead to
the parkway. Some of the best roads I've ever found are to/from the highway

Looks like after I get those two books I may never be seen or heard of
again. Seems I always end up gravitating toward GA 9 up to Dahlonega and
then a Helen, Suches, or Blairsville loop beyond that. It's getting
routine. I've had my bike up on Lookout Mountain twice now; may be time to
make it

Crank up the preload on the rear shocks and add more air than usual to
the rear tire. Then load it up to your max and see how it handles.

Well the carbs on my 750 only had 4 hoses. Fuel in from the tank in the middle
of the bank. Vacuum to the petcock from the #2 carb. And two drain hoses
between #1 and 2, also #3 and 4. I can't imagine a non CA version of your bike
requires more plumbing. The rest of the CA emissions junk could b

I bought the bike 2 years ago. Very clean but the carbs were off. I
cleaned them and re-installed, but the manual doesn't show vacuum line
routing. The bike runs but needs correct fuel and vacuum line
connections. I know there are connections between the 2 carbs that I
haven't figured out.

Check for a rodent nest in your airbox. Unless your compression is shot you
should have no trouble doing highway speed. Sounds like an air or fuel
restriction.

It could also be that the bike is not breathing right and I would
check the choke, just to busy to do it to mine.

I agree, my 450 bogs down on 6 gear I cant do more than 55 no matter
how much throttle I give it.
I have been wanting to change out the floats but at 55 bucks for the
set and it needs two of them I am going to ride it on 5th gear for a
while, lol.

I'm within a ten minute ride of it myself but at the 460 exit near Bonsack VA.
We should organize a ride of the parkway. That would be cool.
