I wouldn't worry about finding "compatible" parts, I'd just replace them with the correct parts. You didn't mention replacing any of the clutch parts. Did you replace the springs? How about the friction disks. Did you measure the steels to see if they are within spec? The difference between engaged

That's a bummer, I did have to pry the casing apart to get the 650 disk out but I had no goop to worry about. The O-Ring behind that shaft that drives the gear indicator is knownto leak on the 700, the easy fix is to fill the switch full of RTV and slap it back on there. I wonder if that's what hap

Hey Kyle, Your article was one that I read and helped me to give it a try. The 650's appears to be different looking at your pics. The 700's is "encased" in hard black electrical "goop". (sorry, that's the best way to describe it) I had every intention of cleaning the contacts like you did, but

The 250 doesn't look like it has the engine serving as a stressed member, but the 750 is still just too much for that suspension and brakes. What goals were you hoping to attain with such a swap? Perhaps we can suggest other options to obtain them. Kurt On May 25, 2015 9:24 AM, "surfswab" wrote:
