I paid $600 canadian for mine, mechanic wise I couldn't say, with paint ( I didn't do myself) and all the parts I replaced I now have $ 5000 into the bike not including my own time. There is some bikes out there I
Ric. Do you have an estimate what a good mechanic would charge for all of
that? Do you have an idea what a low mileage, overall very nice 700s should
be?

I had to rebuild the carbs, gas tank was rotten so i got another one and lined it, master cylinders for brakes and clutch had to be rebuilt. Depending on how fussy you are, a lot of disasemble to clean and re pai
Graham. They both look great. To me they are both utilitarian. The 700s is
more attractive in that it is better equipped than the 750. Six speed, fuel
gauge, center stand, drive shaft. The fact that the 700s has more low end
power and higher revs on the highway is inconsequential. I will be only

Ric: Since you have been thru this already. If I find one with low mileage
what would I probably have to do to the machine due to age? Are there parts
readily available? Thanks.

I have owned both, many of them and I like both. Just about any 700S you find
will need work. All mine did and I’ve owned at least 20 of them. The 750 is a
great bike, very smooth and incredibly good motor. I now have just an 86 700S
Halloween edition (black, red and orange decals). I could easi
You have a far better chance in the States to find one. Here in Canada far a few in between, mine only had 6000 Kms on it but sat for 12 yrs so major work to bring it back. Hope you can find one, Great bikes
Thanks. Just read about the 84-86 700sc. Sounds like a superior bike to
the 91-03 750. It is not "cheaped out" like the 750. Fuel gauge, center
stand, 6 spd etc. What are the chances of finding a pristine 700s? Red or
the blue would be fine. Gary

I have gathered that one section (silver colored but supposedly not chrome)
of the exhaust is prone to rust. What is the solution? Thanks. I am looking
for a 2003 bh in vg condition. I am in FL. Red, no black. Earlier years
might be considered. Would much prefer a newer year.
