I find lately, that my '84 Nighthawk 450 is unable to start until I drain
the bowls of the carbs, and then it's hesitant until it's well warmed up.
Obviously, there's something up with the carbs, but I'm not sure where to
begin, Thoughts?

Principals be damned, I paid 30 for the shop manual for the Nighthawk I
inherited for free.
If you Google CB450SC, and Google it well, you will find what you seek. There
are forums that have the manual for the CM450 and CB450C which are very
similar.

today.
My opinion is your money would be very well spent on picking up the Honda shop
manual on eBay you can find it. I've got an 85 organ donor and the 86 manual.
They are identical to my eye.

Sporty and it was no problems. The older Goldwings ran forever. But like I

I think for now the best thing for me is to keep on with the 450
Nighthawk I've already got. I know where and how it's been used.
In the mean time, I'll keep looking around and seeing what can be

I would appreciate advice on how to make the bike last. I've been
running a 1984 CB450SC Nighthawk, and it's done everythjing I could
ask of it - except have a bigger engine.

I've got a 1984 Nighthawk that I'm having a lot of fun bombing around

Unfortunately, the tachomoter recently broke. Specifically, the
threaded connection for the tach cable has separated from the metal
underside of the tach pod, and looks too chewed up to try and
reinstall.
